Day 2 – November 21, 2007

Day 2 and ready to use the second bus ticket in the book of 10.  I didn’t take transit home last night… I was out late at a concert at the University and “car pooled” with a friend who also lives in country hills.  (The rule is I can’t drive my car – but begging for a ride is allowed). If I would have taken transit home last night, it would have been  55 minute, one bus ride (according to 杭州夜生活calgarytransit杭州龙凤)

I’ve learned a couple things for day 2.  The first bus is unnecessary… I can walk 10 minutes to the park and ride and wait for the 301.  These busses are arriving constantly between 7:30 and 8.  I meet Dani, my photographer and we interview a few transit users and then he shoots video of me getting on the next 301.

This is where I make a rookie mistake.  This is a regular sized bus and it is packed!  No seat for me… and after 30 minutes with my big bag over my shoulder, my back is aching.  Tomorrow, I’m waiting a couple minutes more for the next bus and a seat.   The rest of the ride goes smoothly … though I’m a little late for work today.

I got on the 301 at about 7:50 and arrive at global at 9:05.
